For those who didn't get it ... I'm on hiatus. Mainly because I'm fed up with blogging as a whole. I no longer enjoy it as much as I used to. Partly because it became a chore, but also because these days you seem to have to follow rules and guidelines. You have to use Wordpress and have yourself a new killer theme every two months. You have to link to all your friends and complete strangers. And visit their blogs daily and quickly put up all the same links. Even when it's boring shite.
Hypes are generated on a daily basis and most people suddenly pull down their pants and surrender to the soft touch of commercialism. Get your free drinks, snacks and laptops here ! Come see this movie, blog about our new car ! I swear ... if I have to read another topic about someone with 246 behind his or her name, I'm gonna blow up the belgian DNS systems. I mean, come on ... what a non-event. Where's all the fun stuff gone to ?
I know it's only my opinion and each has their own, so don't take this personal, but to me it all became tedious. I don't want to read about careermoves, or sissy tattoos. Brilliant marketingplans or boring politicians - especially if they're cute and in their early twenties but "very intelligent and busy with their ideas". I want the stories about people's children back (because everyone is convinced their own kid is the smartest), or quick exposés on a new lens (always a good read). Perhaps even something about the weekend or a concert ?
So in short ... fed up. Rethinking stuff. Not reading much. Doing other things.
